Modern European HistoryRoughly beginning with the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, the history of modern Europe has been one of intense technological development, philosophical innovation, as well as an era forged in the crucible of violent forces like industrialization, political revolution, nationalism, science and genocide. No study of modern European history can be complete without looking at Europe's influence on and interaction with the rest of the globe, but the material here starts with its focus on the continent itself. Our current lessons currently cover the origins of the Industrial Revolution, New Colonialism or Imperialism and the origins of the First World War. More lesson series are soon to some, particularly on the Enlightenment, the Treaty of Versailles and World War Two's beginnings. So please visit often.
